Linux System Administrator (Part Time)

Pay Lynxs is a small, fast growing, software company that works with some of the largest banks in the world to install, host and operate an international money transfer service to help make it easier for people to send money home. Pay Lynxs operates as an Application Service Provider. Pay Lynxs started in January 2006 and went live with the first customer in July 2007.

We are looking for a part time system administrator with experience and knowledge of linux systems. This individual should be comfortable working with linux from the command line with no GUI and be able to perform intermediate scripting (Bash, Perl, etc.). The job will entail helping to manage a medium sized network of Red Hat Linux systems via various open source tools such as Nagios, Cricket, Smokeping, and CFengine. The job would also require maintaining existing development services, such as Bugzilla, Trac, Hudson, and SVN. Working knowledge of MySQL, Jboss, Apache and networking is a plus.

We are interested in finding a person that would be willing to work on a part time basis, with flexible work hours Monday - Friday, but could also be available if emergencies came up after hours or for some scheduled maintenance during off hours (i.e. 9pm - 7am) or on weekends.
