Senior Technical Lead

Pay Lynxs is a small, fast growing, software company that works with some of the largest banks in the world to install, host and operate an international money transfer service to help make it easier for people to send money home. Pay Lynxs operates as an Application Service Provider. Pay Lynxs started in January 2006 and went live with the first customer in July 2007.

We are looking for a senior technical lead that has experience with the entire life cycle of software development, including application development, QA, and technical architecture using the J2EE/Struts framework. This person must be capable of leading a team of Java software engineers. This individual will be primarily responsible for leading the design and development of new application features, but will also be responsible for maintaining and evolving the tools (e.g. version control, tracking, builds, etc.) and techniques used in the development environment and leading the expansion of the QA function to further automate and integrate testing as a core part of the development process. This person should be familiar with the following tool set: Hudson Integration Engine, Subversion (SVN), Trac, Bugzilla, and Eclipse. Individual should have experience with Linux/CentOS and MySQL.

This person needs to be comfortable working with a development team that is geographically disperse (India, Albuquerque, and Vancouver) and can work independently and manage their schedule to maximize productivity across the different time zones. Individual needs to be able to excel in a small entrepreneurial organization. The person needs to be versatile and comfortable in a fast paced environment that will often times require them to perform several different functions related to building and implementing the company’s products. Person needs to available in Albuquerque, NM. Experience with financial transaction processing and a second language is a plus.
